Oregon’s Medical Advisory Committee is meeting Friday from 9-11 a.m.
Committee members are scheduled to discuss their perspectives on assessing the nature and extent of a worker’s injury using an on-side medical facility. Oregon employers are generally prohibited from directing care outside of a managed care organization, but they can use on-site facilities to assess the nature and extent of an injury.
Committee members are also slated to provide “input on 30-day time loss authorization concept.” The agenda did not include information about what the concept entails.
