Uptick in Average Wages Brings Boost in Benefits, Attorney Fees

Oregon injured workers and their attorneys will get a boost to their pocketbooks this summer, thanks to an increase in the state's average weekly wage, according to two bulletins issued by the Workers' Compensation Division on Wednesday.Effective July 1, the average weekly wage is $842.52, a 2.824% increase over the previous year. That new number generates increases in temporary total, permanent partial, permanent total and death benefits.Temporary total disability benefits will increase to $674.02 for claimants injured from July 1, 1973, through March 31, 1974; to $842.52 for claimant...
