CAAA Seminar to Cover AME, QME Processes

Friday, August 27, 2021 | 0

The California Applicants’ Attorneys Association is holding a seminar on Sept. 11 that will explore issues relating to the agreed medical evaluator and panel qualified medical evaluator processes.

The program will address questions such as what to do before selecting a panel, what doctors should look for in the era of COVID-19, how to write an advocacy letter, how the new Medical-Legal Fee Schedule works and how to prepare clients for an exam.

It will also explore disputes attorneys have over what documents and information gets sent to qualified medical evaluators. Attendees will hear from an administrative law judge about how the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board typically resolves these disputes, and from a certified QME about what information doctors find most relevant.

The program is from 9 a.m-12:30 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Hyatt Regency LAX, 6225 W. Century Blvd. in Los Angeles.

More information, a seminar brochure and a registration link are available here.
