Louisiana's workers' compensation insurer of last resort announced that it has updated its software system.
LWCC, a private mutual insurance company, has replaced the processing suite it uses for billing, underwriting, claims management and data storage. Its previous billing system was about 13 years old, and its claims management system was about 25 years old, spokesman Paul Buffone said.
