Owner of Landscaping Company Charged With Fraud

The New Jersey Attorney General’s Office announced that the owner of a landscaping company was indicted for failing to carry workers’ compensation coverage. Richard Hockenberry, 71, owned Rick Hockenberry Landscaping. One of his workers was injured in February 2018 and filed a comp claim the following May. At the time of the injury, Hockenberry had been without workers’ compensation coverage for about 25 years.
