Injured workers with health care coverage had better outcomes compared to uninsured workers, including a higher and quicker rate of returning to work after injury, according to a new report from the Workers Compensation Research Institute. Injured workers with health insurance also had a shorter time to their first non-emergency doctor visit, were more satisfied with their primary provider and were less likely to hire an attorney, according to the study.
