Property Owner Owed No Duty of Care to Employee of Independent Contractor

The owner and tenant of a warehouse building could not be held liable for the death of a worker who fell though a skylight because they owed no duty of care to the employees of the independent contractor hired to paint the roof, the 3rd District Court of Appeal ruled.
