Uninsured Motorist Carrier Wins Credit from Work Comp Carrier

An employee who suffered injuries in a work-related accident won coverage for his medical benefits and $292,244 after being struck by an uninsured motorist while returning from a delivery. The Louisiana Supreme Court granted the employer's uninsured motorist carrier a $334,040 credit for medical bills, but also increased the general damages by $150,000 in Bellard v.
