OSHA Finds 17 Violations at Plant where Worker was Killed

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration found 17 safety and health violations at a Burleson, Texas manufacturing plant after a worker was killed last December, the agency said.OSHA is proposing $77,000 in fines against KWS Manufacturing Co. after its inspectors found that workers were exposed to caught-in hazards and amputation hazards from unguarded machinery, and struck-by hazards associated with the rigging and moving of heavy metals from the manufacturing of conveyor's.The worker died when his left arm was caught in the unguarded rotating parts of a machine he operated. ...
