An increase in average temporary disability duration drove a nearly 10% increase in average indemnity benefits per claim in Wisconsin in 2022, according to a recent study from the Workers Compensation Research Institute.
Despite the increase, WCRI said the duration of temporary disability per claim in Wisconsin remained the lowest of 16 other states reviewed as part of its CompScope Benchmarks study.
