Florida lawmakers on Thursday gave final approval to a bill that would allow an employer or workers’ compensation carrier to use a licensed nurse registry to provide attendant care services for injured workers.
The Senate voted 38-0 to pass HB 437, by the House Insurance and Banking Subcommittee, which would add nurse registries to the list of authorized providers of attendant care services. The House of Representatives voted 118-0 to pass the bill Feb. 20.
The Senate on Wednesday tabled an identical companion measure, SB 880.
