The second week of trial for a Los Angeles radiologist and the administrator for his medical company accused of defrauding California workers’ compensation carriers out of more than $20 million by paying kickbacks for referrals begins this morning in San Diego.
Dr. Ronald Grusd, owner of California Imaging Network Medical Group, in March turned down a plea deal with federal prosecutors to resolve the eight charges in a 2015 grand jury indictment accusing him of paying kickbacks to a San Diego chiropractor identified as “Dr. A.”
