Employers insured through Ohio’s workers’ compensation state fund will have a chance to change their managed care organization this month.
The open enrollment period runs May 2-27, the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation announced. Newly selected MCOs will begin managing the medical portion of claims beginning July 4. Employers who are happy with their current MCO don’t need to switch, BWC noted.
Employers have 15 managed care organizations to choose from. But it’s possible that some of those would be at maximum capacity during open enrollment and not accepting...
