DWC: Medical Conversion Factors Increasing 3.8%

The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation announced that medical conversion factors will increase 3.8% in 2023 in accordance with the increase in the Medicare Economic Index. The conversion factor for most service categories will increase to $64.83 from $62.46. The new factor will apply to evaluation and management, general medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, radiology, pathology, anesthesia and surgery performed in an office setting.
