OSHA Fines Fitness Center More Than $126,000 for COVID-19 Violations

Oregon’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration has announced more than $126,000 in fines levied on a Salem fitness center for “willfully continuing to potentially expose employees” to COVID-19, the agency said in a news release. Marion County is considered an “extreme risk” area for the virus, and OSHA said the center continued to ignore public health orders to limit its capacity.
