Utah’s less than 2-month-old COVID-19 presumption for first responders would be tweaked under a bill introduced for the fifth special legislative session that started Thursday.
In addition to adjusting the 2020 budget, modifying unemployment insurance provisions and extending the COVID-19 state of emergency, Gov. Gary Herbert’s proclamation ordering lawmakers to return for a fifth special session also requests that they revamp a presumption he signed into law on April 23.
