Proposed Rule Would Streamline Annual Policy Count Process

Workers' compensation insurers would be required to submit a count of the number of policies they have at the end of each year, under a rule proposed by the Texas Department of Insurance. The department said in a notice posted online last week that it needs the information to establish consumer complaint ratios, as required by Insurance Code Section 521.052.
