A bill introduced Tuesday in the 2026 Kentucky General Assembly aims to broaden workers' compensation protections for first responders by making certain psychological injuries compensable. HB 26, referred to the Committee on Committees, proposes changing the definition of “injury” in the state’s workers' compensation statute.
