Decreases in average medical payments per claim in Texas exceeded those in all but two states covered in a recent Workers Compensation Research Institute report.
WCRI’s 24th edition of the CompScope Medical Benchmarks report said that of 17 states analyzed, only Indiana and Virginia saw a larger decrease in medical payments from 2019 to 2021.
