Zenith Appoints Former Speaker Nunez to Board of Directors

Zenith National Insurance Corp. announced Monday that it appointed former California Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez to its board of directors.Nunez, a Los Angeles Democrat, was elected to the California State Assembly in 2002 and served as its speaker from 2004 through last month. He is currently a partner and co-chair of Mercury Public Affairs LLC, Zenith said in a press release.Zenith President Stanley Zax, a frequent contributor to Democratic candidates, has also supported a charity that the Los Angeles Times reported Nunez "used as a conduit to funnel almost $300,000 from companies and orga...
