Labor Bills Gain Traction in House

If an employee is fired for testing positive for drug and alcohol use in Arkansas, he cannot contest the test results before the state Department of Labor under a bill that just passed the Arkansas House of Representatives unanimously. House Bill 1262 moved to the Senate for its first reading on Tuesday. It was read twice and referred to the chamber's Committee on Public Health, Welfare and Labor, the same path it took in the House before being voted on a week later.
