It all happened very fast, but Illinois finally has rules for electronic medical billing in workers’ compensation cases. After the Illinois Department of Insurance proposed regulations and withdrew them, they were finally adopted July 24 requiring claims administrator to accept electronic medical bills effective that date, according to Alissandra Calderon, the public information officer for the Department of Insurance.
