The lead senator in the Maryland legislature's workers' compensation committee introduced two bills Wednesday that would require comp insurers to use a tiered rating system, and would allow the families of workers who die under specific circumstances to collect up to $45,000 in benefits.
Both bills were sent to the Senate's Finance Committee.
