Psychologist, Doctor Accused of Med-Legal Fraud

Two Southern California doctors are accused of fraudulently billing workers’ compensation carriers for unauthorized medical-legal evaluations. Psychologist Danita Stewart, 51, and Dr. Catalino Dureza, 54, are both facing charges in Fresno County for allegedly billing more than $107,000 for med-legal exams they weren’t credentialed to perform, according to the California Department of Insurance.
