A University of South Carolina law professor and ethics expert said state Workers' Compensation Commissioner Susan Barden has shown a “prolonged pattern of unethical conduct" who puts her opinion about a witness' credibility over medical evidence.
Gregory Adams, who specializes in professional responsibility and judicial ethics, testified Wednesday before a legislative panel considering the reappointment of Barden to another six-year term. Barden has served on the commission since 2004.
