Requirement to Provide Email Address for Claim Documents Takes Effect

The North Carolina Industrial Commission, in a notice posted to its website, said that effective March 1, all carriers, third-party administrators and self-insured employers are required to provide an email address that is used to receive claim-related documents. “The email address provided will be used in cases where the commission does not have an individual email address for the claims representative assigned to the claim,” the agency said. “Providing an email address is mandatory and will ensure timely receipt of claim-related documents.” The commission said email...
