The North Carolina Industrial Commission is accepting comments on a proposed rule change that would require stakeholders to submit contact information through the agency's web portal and would clarify protocols for attendance at mediation conferences.
If the rules are ratified, attorneys will have to submit and update contact information through the commission's electronic document filing portal, known as EDFP, the commission said in a bulletin.
Carriers, self-insurers and third-party administrators would be required to email or to use the portal.
