The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation has made it official: Spouses of more peace officers killed on the job will be able to retain death benefits if they remarry.
The new rules, to be published this week in the Texas Register, change regulations to comply with House Bill 2503, which was signed into law one year ago, the agency said in a bulletin.
