Lawmakers in Western states will be deliberating on a variety of workers’ compensation measures next year, including proposals to prohibit workers who withhold information about pre-existing conditions from receiving medical or indemnity benefits, classify nurses coordinating care as agents of an employer or carrier, and add terrorism and workplace violence to a list of catastrophic injuries entitled to extended temporary disability benefits.
