Asha Joseph Jefferson was recently appointed a member of the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission.
Gov. Wes Moore nominated Jefferson, who was confirmed by the state Senate on March 17.
Jefferson is a graduate of Rutgers University with a bachelor's in Political Science and History, and she earned her law degree from the George Washington University Law School.
