Police Officer Gets Probation Following Guilty Plea

A former police officer in Northern California accused of concealing previous injuries that were relevant to her workers’ compensation claim was ordered to serve one year of probation and pay $6,572 in restitution after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor count of fraud. Leah R. Alexander on June 4 pleaded guilty to one count of failing to disclose an event affecting her right to continue receiving worker’s compensation benefits.
