Lawmakers Debate Proposal to Create Fraud Unit at ICA

The Industrial Commission of Arizona would be required to create a unit to investigate workers’ compensation fraud, under a bill moving through the Legislature. Senate Bill 1164, by Sen. Steve Kaiser, R-Phoenix, would direct the ICA to create a unit that could investigate allegations of fraud on its own volition or after receiving a complaint.
