Ohio Bureau Announces Eight Fraud Convictions

The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Special Investigations Department last Friday announced the conviction of eight fraudsters, one of whom was ordered to pay $1.8 million in restitution. In all of the cases the bureau announced, the individuals pleaded guilty to various fraudulent workers’ compensation activities. The biggest case was that of Mitchel Jones, who was caught double-dipping and working as a truck driver when collecting benefits from an injury sustained at another job.
