Court Upholds Loss of Wage Earning Capacity Award to Injured Grocery Store Clerk

The Mississippi Court of Appeals upheld an award of benefits to a grocery store clerk for her loss of wage-earning capacity from an injury to her pelvis. Case: Kroger Co. v. Pybus, No. 2020-WC-01041-COA, 09/28/2021, published. Facts: Kathy Pybus worked for the Kroger Co. as a grocery clerk. While she was cleaning a restroom in May 2015, she was knocked to the floor by a customer entering the restroom. Pybus suffered an injury to her pelvis and received treatment from Dr. George Russell. Russell placed Pybus at maximum medical improvement in May 2017 and released her to return to light duty...
