The California Supreme Court last week accepted amicus briefs from the California Applicants' Attorneys Association in a dispute over a police officer's claim for temporary disability indemnity at the statutory maximum rate and from the California Workers' Compensation Institute a dispute over a family's entitlement to death benefits for a carpenter’s accidental drug overdose.
CAAA has already thrown its support behind the family of Brandon Clark in South Coast Framing v. WCAB, No. S215637, and the Supreme Court accepted its amicus brief last month.
