Former Florida Judge of Compensation Claims Gerardo Castiello has prevailed in his first of three challenges to the process used to nominate workers’ compensation judges.
Castiello claimed in a series of administrative petitions that the Statewide Nominating Commission for Judges of Compensation Claims (SNCJCC) improperly relied on a set of internal guidelines that had never been adopted through the rule-making process to make determinations about those nominated as judges.
