Lawmakers Propose $1.25 Million Raid on WCA Account

New Mexico lawmakers are proposing a $1.25 million raid on the Workers’ Compensation Administration Fund as part of a bill projected to raise $262 million to plug $69 million budget deficit. The proposal to tap into the fund that’s earmarked to pay operational expenses for the Workers’ Compensation Administration is included in bills introduced in both the state Senate and the House of Representatives.
