OSHA Proposing $16K in Fines for Contractor's Safety Violations

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited a New Jersey contractor and is proposing $16,000 in fines for two repeat and two serious safety violations for failing to provide required protective equipment and to protect workers from serious fall hazards.OSHA said it inspected F&G Stucco and Stone Contractors Inc. while the company was working on a building in Totowa, N.J., as part of its Local Emphasis Program on fall hazards in construction. Proposed penalties total $66,400.OSHA said it cited F&G in September 2009, August 2010 and March 2013, resulting in $108,640 ...
