Board Releases 'New' 2018 Acute-Care Inpatient Rates

The New York Workers' Compensation Board released updated reimbursement rates for acute-care inpatient treatment for the last half of 2018. The inpatient rates are provided by the state Department of Health and are adjusted retroactively, a spokeswoman for the WCB said. Facilities can balance-bill if the adjusted rates result in increased reimbursement amounts, and an insurance carrier can request a refund if the rates are decreased.
