PHOENIX — Consulting with a doctor via telemedicine might seem less personal than seeing a practitioner face-to-face at an office, but the opposite is often true, according to a risk manager for a major restaurant chain who spoke on the final day of the Workers Compensation Research Institute annual conference Friday.
“The doctor’s fully focused," Kurt Leisure, vice president of risk services for The Cheesecake Factory, said of telemedicine visits. "They don’t have nurses coming in bothering them."
