The U.S. District Court for Central California agreed to extend discovery and other deadlines by about three months in a civil fraud case pitting State Compensation Insurance Fund against Michael D. Drobot and his son, Michael R. Drobot.
An order signed Oct. 2 by Judge Andrew J. Guilford moved the cutoff for discovery to Feb. 17 from Nov. 10 and pushed back the anticipated trial date to April 28 from Feb. 10. Guilford's order also moved back the deadline for expert disclosure to Jan. 19 from Oct. 13, and rescheduled the final pretrial conference for April 13 rather than Jan. 26.
