L&I Proposing Rule to Allow Acupuncture for Low Back Pain

The Washington Department of Labor & Industries is proposing a rule that will allow the agency and self-insured employers to pay for acupuncture to treat injured workers’ low back pain. Under the proposed rule, acupuncture treatment would be limited to a maximum of 10 visits and could be used to treat only low back pain related to an accepted condition on a claim.
