Studies published over the past 20 years concluded that integrating the medical side of workers' compensation with group health can deliver better care to workers at less cost to employers by reducing administrative expenses. California farmers want to see if this idea can also satisfy the employer mandate under the 2010 Affordable Care and Patient Protection Act, otherwise known as "Obamacare."
