The New York Workers' Compensation Board has made emergency changes to its drug formulary so that anti-retroviral drugs can be available for more than the first 30 days after an injury.
The board did not explain what prompted the change, but a necessity statement noted that anti-retroviral drugs “must be administered immediately when needed and the board wants to ensure that these drugs are available to injured workers who may need them.”
