Vista Recall Effort Takes 'Last Shot' to Gather Signatures

Backers of a drive to oust a Vista, California, City Council member convicted on a misdemeanor workers' compensation charge have turned to a local newspaper to help generate signatures for the recall effort.City Councilman Frank Lopez and his wife Mary pleaded guilty in August for failing to provide workers' compensation coverage for employees at their former Mexican restaurant from Nov. 28, 2000, to Jan. 8, 2010.
