The former chair of the Texas Bar Association's workers' compensation section, indicted more than three years ago in connection with the wide-ranging Forest Park hospital kickback scheme, has received one of the best outcomes he could have hoped for.
A federal judge has allowed San Antonio claimants' attorney Royce Bicklein to pay a fine and enter the pretrial diversion program. That means that if he completes the 12-month program, his indictment will be dismissed, no convictions will appear on his record, and his law license and bar membership will likely not be affected.
