Repeated Fall Hazards Lead to Proposed $46K in Fines

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is proposing $46,200 in penalties against an Ohio roofing company after its inspectors found it had exposed workers to fall hazards of up to 20 feet. OSHA said Chaney Roofing Maintenance of Clyde, Ohio, had been cited in April after a worker was hospitalized as a result of injuries from a fall in Norwalk. The company had also been cited in January 2013 for fall hazards at a project in Port Clinton.
