The International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions published the 2021 edition of its Electronic Data Interchange that includes 15 Issue Resolution Requests, or IRRs, approved last year.
Four of the IRRs in Claims Release 3.1.4 address clarifications and improvements for reporting event changes, IAIABC said in a statement. New data elements were added to capture benefit change reasons, withheld attorney fees and the date the claims administrator knew a claim met reporting requirements.
IAIABC also added a new benefit adjustment code for withheld attorney fees.
