OSHA Names New Region VI Director

Kelly Knighton, deputy director of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Dallas regional office, has been named the office’s new administrator and will oversee enforcement and compliance in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. She began her OSHA career in 1995 as a compliance safety and health officer in Houston, where she investigated accidents involving manufacturing, construction, petrochemical, logging, maritime, and oil and gas exploration operations.
