The Oklahoma Workers' Compensation Commission, shaken almost at its inception by the disclosure of open meetings violations, now is being accused of fiscal mismanagement by the state auditor and of religious discrimination by its former employees.
The accusation that the commission did not institute proper internal controls came from State Auditor and Inspector Gary Jones in an audit report released Nov. 18. The religious discrimination claim against former executive director Rick Farmer is included in a lawsuit by four former employees whom Farmer laid off in July 2014.
